Paediatric orthopaedics Berlin-Frohnau
Paediatric orthopaedics identifies, diagnoses and treats deformities, growth disturbances, diseases and injuries to the skeletal locomotor organs. The paediatric orthopaedist decides when and where preventive measures are necessary, when an operation may be required and which of the abnormalities will probably correct themselves during the course of development. Treatment of bones that are still growing has be extremely carefully evaluated and observed over a long period. |

One of the practice's main areas of focus is paediatric orthopaedics, which Dr Surminski specialises in based on decades of practical clinical experience and scientific work in this field. We treat all congenital and acquired diseases and injuries of the postural and locomotor organs in children and adolescents, in particular:
In addition to clinical diagnostics, targeted use of paediatric X-ray diagnostics and gait analysis, ultrasound examinations are carried out using a high-performance device. |
In addition to the Graf method of infant hip diagnosis and the established techniques of soft tissue diagnosis, a special neurophysiological examination according to Vojta is also used here, among other things. There is close co-operation with radiological practices for the use of modern sectional imaging techniques (MRT, CT). In terms of therapy, after a detailed explanation and consultation, all the usual conservative procedures are used, e.g. corrective and growth-directing bandages, drug therapy, provision of orthopaedic and shoe technical aids (direct consultation with the technician in the practice). |
