Laser therapy
|
Irradiating damaged tissue with this intense IR light causes warming and non-thermal effects such as photochemical, photoelectric and photo-biological reactions.
These effects
- relieve pain
- are anti-inflammatory
- lower interstitial fluid pressure (anti-oedemic, detumescent)
- improve the blood circulation
- repair tissue.
With laser technique we are able to treat particularly sensitive patients and children with laser acupuncture.
Due to the high number of general effects laser therapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. Some areas of application are:
- tennis or golf elbow
- Ccarpal tunnel syndrome
- heel spur
- pain in the Achilles tendon (achillodynia)
- bursitis
- arthritis
- back problems
- rheumatism
- acute disorders, injuries
|

- joint, tendon and muscle strains
- torn muscles and ligaments
- shoulder pain and acute and chronic muscular tension
Treatment is carried out 2-3 times a week and lasts about 10-15 minutes depending on the size of the field of radiation and the absorbed dose.
